As another spring comes to an end we have good news in the housing market here in DFW. The North Texas Real Estate Information Systems reports several strong indicators in home prices, demand and availability of existing home sales in DFW. Specifically Dallas & Collin counties are seeing price increases and inventories are down to near normal levels again, plus a diminishing share of foreclosed property sales is also helping home values.
As of April, Dallas county had a 4.5 month inventory of homes on the market and Collin county had a 4.7 month inventory. Six months inventory is considered a balanced market. Anything less typically signals a sellers' market. More good news for home values. What's your home worth now? Let me know if you'd like me to review yours.
